Sunday was the 1st Sunday our church observed Communion with our new pastor. Pastor Scott's message was ,"More than just a meal, the Last Supper." From Luke 22:14-30. We also celebrated Blessing of the Backoacks. A special litany and prayer were offered for the students, teachers, and staff as they head back to school. 7- up Back to School Treats and backpack tags were given out.

The members of Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church are pleased to announce the appointment of Pastor Richard L. Scott, his wife Mrs. Birdette Scott , and their baby Joy. Rev. Scott will preach his first sermon, as the Pastor of Mt. Sinai U. M. Church at the 11:15 service on July 7, 2019. A reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Rev. Scott is a member of Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS where he has served as Associate Pastor for the past 5 years.

Today was our last Sunday with Pastor Willis and family. Thank you for 3 years of service. You all will be missed!

Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church tolled their bell 55 times as requested by the 2018 Session of the Annual Conference to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the Civil Rights leader Medgar Wiley Evers who was assassinated at his home. Pastor Victor Willis Sr. and Bro. Victor Willis Jr. tolled our bell as the members watched.
